IKM Gruppen AS Acquires Hendrik Veder Group

Norwegian IKM Gruppen AS announces a new strategic move into the European maritime sector by acquiring Hendrik Veder Group in Rotterdam. After the acquisition, the combined entity will operate under the new name IKM Hendrik Veder B.V, reflecting both organisations’ heritage and future ambitions.

IKM Gruppen AS is a major international industrial group with operations in 15 countries, employing approximately 4,000 employees. The company achieves annual revenues of around EUR 1 billion and continues expanding its global presence through strategic acquisitions and partnerships.

Hendrik Veder Group boasts a distinguished 225-year legacy, making it one of the oldest maritime enterprises in the Netherlands. With 79 employees, the company has established a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and enduring customer relationships. It remains a trusted provider of steel wire and synthetic rope solutions for lifting, mooring, towing, and rigging within the maritime and offshore industries, with a clear focus on sustainability. Together, the combined organisation will offer a broader range of services to its customers.
