Vlaeynatie already owns Swagemakers, a prominent trucking brand in the region. The management now plans to integrate Geerlings' operations into the Vlaeynatie Group. By merging with the existing Swagemakers operations, the group gains substantial economies of scale, enabling optimisation, lower overhead costs, and increased investment capacity across its network. Furthermore, Geerlings’ fleet and specialised service offering diversify Vlaeynatie’s capabilities, enabling the group to serve a wider client base and meet a broader range of logistics needs. The two companies, both located in Westdorpe, are highly complementary, and together they are better positioned to compete and grow in an evolving market.
Continuity and Integration
Vlaeynatie is committed to ensuring a smooth and respectful transition for all Geerlings Transport employees. The commercial and operational management of Geerlings remains in place. In the short term, day-to-day operations will continue as usual. Over time, overhead and support services will be gradually integrated into the Vlaeynatie Group and Swagemakers’ systems and processes, maintaining operational efficiency while safeguarding service quality. The Geerlings brand will be retained, operating under the name: Geerlings Transport — powered by Vlaeynatie. This recognises the group’s respect for the identity and reputation that Geerlings has built, while also signalling the strength of the broader organisation behind it.
